One might call me an “undisciplined artist” when using the term in reference to the subjects that I paint. I become intensely interested in one subject, photograph for reference and then paint a series of that genre, then move on to something new. My artist’s statement therefore changes frequently.

I’m not a typical Bucks County Artist. Although I live in the area now, I am originally from Brooklyn, NY. and then lived in Nassau County, NY moving here in late 2012.

When I’m observing a scene it is the light and shapes which most often intrigue me. I see unusual designs created by nature, man-made structures and people’s postures.  The curious angles of buildings, the play of sunlight and shadows upon them or on people and objects is what draws me to paint these images. To me, there is mystery in the shadows cast by a strong light and I strive to capture these fleeting moments that many people don’t notice.

I hope you get as much pleasure from viewing my paintings as I did capturing them on my camera and recreating them with paint.

As a child I was always drawing or painting and designing imaginary buildings and interior spaces and then went on to college receiving my degree in art from the University of Bridgeport.

After college I taught for a few years and then started combining my passion for art with the need to make money.  As designer and owner of “T for U”, a nationwide business, I sold some of the first tie dyed,  hand painted Tshirts then expanding the business, under the name, “Sweat It”, to include painted, redesigned and embellished sweat suits.

While living in New York I studied watercolor and oil painting under Steve Lampasona, at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn, N.Y.   Since moving to Pennsylvania in 2012, I have studied under James Feehan, Jim Bongartz and Anne Gannon.  I have taken workshops with John Murdoch, Carol Marine, Abbey Ryan and other artists.  Each of these artist’s styles and techniques are vastly different from each other and I’m grateful to say that each of them generously encouraged me to develop a style of my own.  That said, like all artists, I am constantly experimenting with new methods to freshen my eye and enhance my work.

In New York I was in many juried art shows, earning awards and having my work featured prominently as publicity images for those shows. In Pennsylvania I have become a member of Artsbridge, The New Hope Art League and The Artist’s of Yardley. Below is a partial list of the shows that I have been in.
